    Description

    Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated band 6 occupational therapist to work in Banbury on a full/part-time basis.

    The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of occupational therapy and be registered with the HCPC.

    The pay rate for this locum occupational therapist job is £23.38 (LTD Company Equivalent) per hour and is an initial 3-month contract.

    Responsibilities of the occupational therapist:
    - Attend police custody suites and magistrates' courts and provide assessments, advice and identify robust care pathways, for individuals where a potential vulnerability has been identified.
    - Provide the police and court with written information pertaining to the individual in a timely fashion to inform disposal
    - Work closely and build links with all referring agencies within the custody suite, court and probation acting as a single point of contact for health
    - Address the court in person when necessary in order to advise the court in the disposal, and care pathway of a particular case.
    - Refer to the service user's General Practitioner, appropriate primary, secondary, specialist or statutory services for support and/or treatment

    Requirements of the occupational therapist:
    - Degree or equivalent within occupational therapies
    - HCPC registered as an occupational therapist
    - Recent post qualifying experience working as an occupational therapist
