    Description

    Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated podiatrist to fill a full-time role in Hertfordshire The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of podiatry and also be registered on the HCPC.

    The pay rate for this locum podiatrist job is to £23.38 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.

    Duties:
    - To assess, diagnose and implement care programmes without direct supervision for a wide variety of patients - including patients with specialised care needs due to diabetic, rheumatological, vascular, tissue viability or biomechanical problems, using high-quality evidenced-based clinical expertise.
    - To participate in podiatric nail surgery and administer local anaesthetic.
    - To request, perform and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests.
    - To identify the need for referral both internally and externally for further assessments and treatment where appropriate.
    - To record all patient contact using the SystmOne computer-based record keeping tool.
    - To work within a range of recognised clinical settings, these will include health centres, single and multi-chair community clinics, acute in and out-patient settings and other appropriate settings.

    Requirements of the Podiatrist:
    - Degree or equivalent within Podiatry
    - Current HCPC registration
    - Significant senior level frontline experience within a similar role
    - Must be a car driver
