Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated band 6 speech and language therapist to work on a full-time basis in Woolwich. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of speech and language therapy and be registered with the HCPC.

The pay rate for this locum speech and language therapist job is £27 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is a 4-month contract.

You will be responsible for the delivery of effective Speech and Language Therapy services for vulnerable adults residing in community rehabilitation units, residential and supported living services who present with learning disabilities and complex needs.

- Assess, treat and manage service users with communication and swallowing difficulties
- Manage a caseload of service users with varying diagnosis and complex needs, using evidence based client centred principles.
- Ensure development of junior staff through supervision, training and contribution to annual appraisal.
- Participate in the planning, development and evaluation of clinical practice and service development within the area of Learning disabilities.
- Contribute to maintenance and development of the SLT service.

Requirements of the Speech and Language Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within speech and language therapist
- HCPC registered as a therapist
- Recent post qualifying experience working as a speech and language therapist
