Sanctuary Health has a permanent job vacancy for a Band 7 Clinical Nurse Practitioner specialising in ADHD to join a Multi-Disciplinary Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team based in Guernsey.

The salary for this role is £38,055 - £50,172 per annum.

The post holder will manage a specialist caseload of ADHD clients including those with comorbidities across the Bailiwick of Guernsey within the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service. The post holder will work closely with the other members of the ADHD team in providing initial assessment, ongoing monitoring, and care management to this specialist group. The post holder will also be responsible for the assessment of generic specialist CAMHS referrals and plan, implement and evaluate their treatment accordingly.

Duties
- To provide comprehensive ADHD assessment (including risk assessment) of the needs of this specialist group and their families/carers using recognised assessment tools.
- To formulate care plans to address the mental health needs of this client group. To provide assessments and interventions for children and their families referred to the ADHD Service, based upon the Evidence based practice.
- To work effectively with colleagues from other disciplines and agencies as appropriate throughout the assessment and treatment process. Have the professional ability to work autonomously with children and their families.
- To work as a senior staff member providing clinically effective and, where possible, therapeutic interventions for children with ADHD and other co-morbid mental health problems.
- To be flexible in working practices for example satellite clinics and home visits within the community.
- To assume an active role in the ongoing development of the ADHD service and setting standards that are in line with national good practice guidance.
- To adhere to the standards of Health and Social Care Department in relation to Record Keeping and record all client related contacts on the records system.
- To have good awareness of safeguarding issues and to follow the correct procedures of the organisation in sharing information and reporting concerns.
- To contribute to the development and learning needs of students and to take on the role of mentor for nursing students.

Requirements:
- NMC registered as an RMN or RGN
- Degree or equivalent in nursing
- Experience working within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services and a specialist interest and experience in working with young people with an ADHD diagnosis
- You will also hold a teaching qualification ENB 998 or equivalent.
