Sanctuary Health is recruiting on behalf of a leading Australasian client for a Consultant Psychiatrist to relocate to Taranaki, New Zealand.

This is an excellent opportunity for a UK-based Consultant Psychiatrist that is looking for an opportunity aboard in a beautiful location and attractive salary options.

Taranaki is based in the west of New Zealand's North Island and is an excellent relocation choice for those who like to experience outdoor adventures. There are numerous tourist attractions including Egmont National Park, which includes Mount Taranaki, snow and ice climbing experiences, over 300 kilmotres of walking tracks and a many more.

Reporting to the Clinical Director, the Consultant Psychiatrist will be required to undertake clinical duties and activities such as:

- Working with the other team members to mutually agree work schedules and waiting list management, in consultation with the Head of Department / Service Manager
- Regular ward rounds and wark work will be conducted at a time that facilities efficient patient flows and meets treatment objectives
- Potential discharges will be formally considered by the team, including the Consultant or nominee on a daily basis
- Working with Independent Practitioners, such as Midwifes and General Practitioners
