Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6 Physiotherapist to work in Bradford on a full-time basis within a Community Learning Disability Team.

The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of occupational therapy and be registered with the HCPC

The pay rate for this locum Physiotherapist job is up to £24.41 (LTD Company Equivalent) per hour and is an initial on-going contract.

Main Duties:
- To participate in the planning and delivery of the physiotherapy service across the directorate, prioritising clinical need to provide an effective service.
- Manage a caseload of service users presenting with complex physical needs, challenging behaviour, communication difficulties and other associated conditions.
- Use a range of verbal and nonverbal communication tools to communicate effectively with service users to progress rehabilitation and treatment programmes.
- Assess patient understanding of treatment proposals, gain valid consent and have the capacity to work within a legal framework with service users who lack capacity to consent to treatment in line with the Mental Capacity Act (2005).
- To actively participate in service improvement and governance forums


Requirements of the Physiotherapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Physiotherapies
- HCPC registered as a Physiotherapist
- Recent post qualifying experience working as a Physiotherapist
- Experience preferred in Intermediate care, rapid response and hospital discharge
