Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6 Senior Occupational Therapist to work in Kent on a part-time basis 3 days a week.
The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.
The Salary for this permanent Senior Occupational Therapist role is £30,000 - £35,000 per annum

Our Senior Occupational Therapist role involves:
- Managing patients using evidence based and patient centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions, which provide patients with the confidence, skills and coping strategies required for independent living
- Managing and coordinating the implementation of individual treatment plans for occupational therapy services ensuring treatments, activities and interventions are delivered through effective application and communication by the occupational therapists
- Receiving and responding promptly to referrals, undertaking patient assessments to identify and prioritise patient needs before planning and delivering the appropriate and relevant interventions either on an individual or group basis
- Ensuring the team maintains accurate and timely records detailing each patient's rehabilitation / progress
- Taking the lead within the Occupational Therapy. Monitors the activity budget and takes a lead on resource purchases.
- Ensuring the effective and efficient management of more junior staff.
- Maintaining and developing close working relationships with professional and clinical colleagues within the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring clinical practice is in line with policies and procedures and complies with statutory regulations and quality standards
- Contributing to business growth by actively promoting priory therapy services in line with the local units' business plan
- Maintaining effective communication links with patients, relatives, carers, and purchasers throughout the patient's rehabilitation
- Contributing towards service evaluation and development

Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapies
- HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
- 2 years post qualifying experience working as an Occupational Therapist
